The origin
The idea for Workshop Eight goes back to my time studying mechanical engineering at MIT. Whenever I looked around, people were working on so many different things, at such a rapid pace. It blew my mind how quickly an idea could become something real once people had the skills and the tools, and how many ideas everyone seemed to have.
That's where I came to believe that everyone has great ideas. What not everyone has is the tools to make them real, and I wanted to bridge that gap.
Meet Eight
The vision
When I looked into becoming a product design consultant, I found that most consultancies work mainly for big companies. I wanted to work with individuals and early-stage startups instead: the people with ideas worth building.
So I started Workshop Eight in Indianapolis to connect people's ideas and abilities with the technical side of product design.
